The role:

The Ruminant Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a successful sales strategy for the ruminant sector of Australia and New Zealand. He/she is responsible for ensuring consolidated sales revenue budgets for the ruminant sector are met or exceeded through effective sales efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the achievement of the sale revenue of set budget for the ruminant market in both Kemin Australia and New Zealand every fiscal year.
  • Provide technical presentations to customers.
  • Manage pricing in coordination with Kemin’s distributor and directions set by the Head of Ruminant in both markets.
  • Providing technical and product knowledge support to customers and Kemin’s distributor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, nutrition, animal husbandry and ruminant related field would be an advantage.
  • Three years and above experience in technical sales in the ruminant sector preferred.
  • Outstanding presentation, selling and negotiating skills.
  • Capability to communicate value-added propositions using sound technical and commercial principles.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Clear, persistent, patient, and proactive communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in an unsupervised capacity whilst maintaining focus.
  • Excellent distributor management and relationship-building skills.

Working Conditions: The position is based in the Australia and will require extensive domestic and international travel (to New Zealand) to visit major ruminant farms and regions.
