The Product Compliance Engineer will work closely with various departments (Product Line Management, Development Engineering, Component Engineering, Legal, and Quality) and with external suppliers. The Product Compliance Engineer manages the regulatory intelligence gathering process and coordinates the assessment of the product’s impact and compliance status to new or changes in global product-related regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Tracking global product compliance legislation and requirements using industry forums, webinars, external software, and other formats to collect regulatory intelligence data
  • Responsible for maintaining product compliance data management workflow ensuring compliance with relevant product regulations
  • Responsible for informing within Ruckus key functions, Component Engineering, Product Line Management, and development Engineering team, as appropriate, on new and changing regulations
  • Responsible for escalating issues to the Business Units Management team as necessary
  • Responsible for leading and executing small to medium projects in the product compliance area. Contribute to the improvement of departmental processes and operating procedures.
  • Participate in the review, approval, training, and release of policies, procedures, and work instructions related to the design and production of compliant products and assemblies.
  • Responsible for working with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance of all products and requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Project management or equivalent work experience
  • 3 – 7 years of related experience with compliance or materials is essential
  • Bilingual
  • Experience in the management of regulatory compliance for electronic equipment is required
  • Knowledge of regulations and industry requirements related to global product compliance requirements (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Safety, Wireless, EMC, Energy Efficiency, and other agencies approvals) is required

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP and SharePoint would be an advantage.
