Within this dynamic and rapidly expanding setting, our Thales Ordnance Training Centre (TOTC) operates as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), offering a wide array of qualifications ranging from Certificate II in Explosive Ordnance to Graduate Certificate-level qualifications in Explosives.

In this exciting role, you will be involved in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the RTO, working closely with the senior leadership team within the Division to define the strategic direction of the business. This could involve delivering services to organizations, both nationally and internationally, and steering the RTO towards becoming a commercially thriving business entity.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor teams, fostering a positive culture, and driving innovation and project management for exceptional service

  • Oversee RTO compliance, reporting, and legal adherence to regulations and standards like AQTF and RTO Standards

  • Create and execute a growth-focused strategic plan for the RTO

  • Supervise RTO administration, encompassing finances, records, and reporting

  • Efficiently manage student enrolment processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Develop training strategies and materials through quality assurance and innovation

  • Identify growth opportunities, build relationships, and promote TOTC training products for expansion

  • Explore opportunities to expand the range of training programs and services

Requirements:

  • A proven leadership experience in an RTO or related educational setting

  • Tertiary qualification such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher is required

  • Track record in effectively managing multi-disciplinary teams

  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and innovative training processes

  • Solutions-oriented mindset for issue identification and resolution to ensure compliance

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Learning and Student Management Systems, and educational design software

  • Demonstrated organizational, project management, and administrative skills with a knack for task prioritization and meeting deadlines

  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
