
Provides respiratory therapeutic and diagnostic care to patients according to established standards and practices in critical care, general care and emergency care areas. Performs electrocardiogram and other related examinations for patients as directed.
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED required. Must have graduated from a CoArc accredited program. Current licensure by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy. Current licensure thru the National Board of Respiratory Care.
License, Certification and/or Registration: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP. ACLS, PALS and NRP must be obtained within 90 days of hire Experience: One to two years’ clinical experience, which may include while attending respiratory therapy program. Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
