Maintenance Technician – Reactor Services – Special Projects
Westinghouse Electric Company is an American company founded by George Westinghouse in 1886. It operates in the fields of design and manufacturing of nuclear fuel assemblies, specialized services for the industry and associated engineering, as well as the design and construction of new nuclear power plants.
Did you know? Westinghouse is the world leader in the nuclear industry, with more than 50% of the world’s power plants equipped with its pressurized water reactor (PWR) technology—the same technology used today by almost the entire French nuclear fleet. Fifty-two of EDF’s 56 reactors were built by the French company Areva‑Framatome, but under a Westinghouse license granted in 1974.

Work includes radiological risks.
You will become familiar with the different phases of nuclear‑environment interventions, including installation safety, radiation protection, quality compliance, and schedule control.
You will travel to French nuclear sites approximately 80% of the time, with occasional work abroad.
You will also participate in the development and qualification of new tools or the improvement of existing equipment.
Depending on your skills and interests, you may also develop leadership competencies.
Your skills in mechanics, electrotechnics, and robotics will enable you to maintain automated tools, diagnose failures, and provide technical assistance to operators.
You will need to develop true technical expertise on this complex equipment.
Potential career evolution depending on your skills, performance, and experience:
