General Description
The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) is seeking a dedicated Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ) Administrator and Automation Engineer to serve as the primary owner and implementor of the platform. This individual will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing workload automation processes, while partnering with internal teams to support business-critical operations.
This is a hands-on technical role focused on day-to-day platform administration, job scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated workflows. Along with it, the person should enable users to design, build, and maintain infrastructures and systems that enable their organizations to collect, store, process, and analyze large volumes of data.
Other responsibilities may include coordinating or performing requested research and analyzing the work required for proposals, software, and system modifications, as well as new projects. Overseeing the analysis, designs, plans, diagrams, and verifying procedures for existing and proposed applications. Provides technical advice, assistance, and recommendations on matters related to programming.

Understanding of security (IDaaS) and compliance considerations in automation platforms.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
Ability to work a consistent schedule such as Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, with occasional flexible hours, after hours, weekends, and holidays.
Note: Salary will be determined based on education and experience.
Work Hours: Standard office hours for Commission employees are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our agency offers alternative schedules for employees, provided they do not adversely affect operations or service levels and standard hours of operation are maintained. The Commission may also offer telework in accordance with the agency's approved Telework Plan. Alternate work schedules may be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview process.
