Description: The Solaris Evergreening project will: Transition Solaris impacted application databases off of Solaris infrastructure and onto supported infrastructure. Where applicable/compatible, upgrade to latest version of Oracle database software. Eliminate security and financial risks by decommissioning out-of-support Solaris infrastructure following successful migrations. The applications in scope will remain ‘as is,’ there will be no new development work completed. The migration off of Solaris operating system servers only impacts the operating system and database. The project represents a time-sensitive, high-priority stream within FY26/27 operating plan deliverables and serves as a key enabler for broader portfolio modernization. As Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial lead role in the Solaris Evergreening project. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, I&IT professionals, and leadership to lead and enable this evergreening initiative. Candidate must be a strong project leader who knows how to finesse relationships while keeping the big picture in mind. In this role, you will: Develop and manage strategic communication and change management strategies throughout the different phases of the projects (development to implementation) to meet the established goals and objectives. Provide business analysis expertise to navigate enterprise-wide strategies, produce data analytics and draft briefing materials and dashboards to tell the story to senior executive leadership, partners and stakeholders. Drive organization change and build strong partnerships taking an inclusive approach with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders who have diverging perspectives to ensure that all adhere to best practices and standard approaches. Develop project related strategies / frameworks by anticipating potential issues and provides risk mitigations and recommendations. Knowledge of issues management, communication and change management principles to assist clients and stakeholders with change management activities. Experience developing and managing complex projects, estimating resources and preparing/presenting submissions for approval. Knowledge of IT systems, tools and databases to develop comprehensive implementation plans. Leadership and Political Acuity: Leadership skills to set direction and manage projects, activities and team members throughout the different project phases towards successful completion. Well developed organization and planning skills to manage a number of complex and concurrent issues while continuing to deliver results. Knowledge of project management and in-depth knowledge of task estimation, scheduling and control to prepare project plans and provide guidance. Political acuity to deal with sensitive situations, to work strategically with government stakeholders and develop appropriate responses to ensure projects reflect the overall enterprise objectives and priorities. Analytical and Strategic Thinking Skills: Strong analytical and conceptualization skills to deliver , combined with proven skills and experience in change management, project management and issues management. Research and problem solving skills to scan the organizational environment, analyze data, identify and assess emerging trends and develop options to strategically manage complex issues and files. Ability to think holistically and horizontally about business problems and opportunities and ensure strategic alignment between cross-functional programs/activities. Communications and Relationship Management Skills: Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate project vision, facilitate discussions/negotiations, prepare written briefings, presentations and other project related materials. Negotiation skills to influence others and find collaborative solutions to complex high-profile issues. Ability to build relationships to oversee cross-organizational consultation processes that involve internal and external stakeholders and consultation and collaboration skills to cultivate effective relationships, influence change and bring initiatives to successful conclusion.
