RQ11436 - Report Developer - Senior
Location: ONSITE at 21 College, Toronto
Duration: 1 Year (250 Business Days)
Must Have:
- Proven work experience as a Power BI Report Developer
- Demonstrated experience with M, DAX and Power Query
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem and the Power Platform
- Proven experience with SQL Server and Power BI Datasets
- Proven, demonstratable experience in data modeling and data visualizations for Power BI; working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies
Deliverables:
- Create Power BI report(s), data models
- Undertake special assignments/sub-projects as assigned
- Conduct, assess, evaluate and document stakeholder interests and business needs
- Ensure alignment and adherence to IT processes and standards
- Support the testing team during system and UAT testing
- Participate in Knowledge transfer
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI developer, building Business Intelligence reports and dashboards
- Demonstrated experience with M, DAX and Power Query
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem, Power BI service, Azure Datafactory, SQL Server
- Proven experience with SQL Server and other database technologies
- Proven, demonstratable experience in data modeling and data visualization; working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies
- Knowledge of data analysis, data management
- Proven ability to partner with internal/external stakeholders and liaise with technical experts and non-technical colleagues
- Experience in understanding, capturing, and analyzing complex and sometimes competing business requirements to develop Power BI and Business Intelligence products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Strong written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with special attention to correct use of tense, grammar/spelling and terminology
- Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritize workload, ensuring timelines are met and respond to demands of a dynamic environment
Mandatory Requirements:
- Use Power Query to extract data from different data sources and choose a storage mode and connectivity type.
- Profile, clean, and load data into Power BI
- Design data models that are intuitive, high-performing, and simple to maintain
- Create compelling Power BI report designs and report formatting, including report navigation for all audience types (executive, operational)
- Examine, sort and present data using Power BI in a cohesive manner
- Connect Power BI reports to data sources
- At least 5 years of experience
- All roles procured are required to be cleared through the Contractor Security Clearance Process of the OPS.
- Security Clearance process, levels, roles etc. are subject to change without prior notice. Candidates may be required to undergo revised/new process (or levels) any time prior or during the term of the contract.
