Job Description

• Review and understand code and architecture of the existing code, and make updates as required to ensure the code is modular and can support scalability requirements
• Code enhancements to existing features and new features as per approved requirements and design direction
• Provide realistic work estimates to support project planning
• Use structured methodologies, design best practices, implement code that is of quality, and clearly documented. The application should function as required, without any defects. The application must operate with the Operating System (OS) and other peripherals as identified
• Conduct testing, integration, and deployment of the developed changes across the environment
• Review, analyze and recommend solutions to any defects discovered in production
• Fully document all developed code, and transition in a steady state to a full-time resource.
• Working with successful vendor to update existing solutions such as mCAD, ePCR, CIP, AVL, ADDS, GIS to work with the new Unified CAD application

 NOTE

Extension/Amendment Attestation: Extension(s) only allowed using unused days/funds left on contract. No additional funds will be added beyond the maximum contract value and any extension options included in the original SOW.

Assignment Type This position is currently listed as "Hybrid" as consultants will be required to work partly in the physical workplace and partly remotely. The details of this arrangement will be at the Hiring Manager's discretion.

Development Experience

· Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing complex interactive applications in a multi-platform environment for systems that utilize technologies such as .NET, C#, JEE, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript frameworks, Web Service frameworks and protocols (SOAP and REST).

· Experience with Cross-Platform Mobile App Development using technologies such as Ionic Framework, Cordova plugins, Google Flutter framework or others.

· Experience in Azure Cloud services, ex, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, API Management, Streaming Analytics, Event Hub, Data Factory/Data Bricks.

· Experience using XHTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS.

· Experience with building web applications, web services (SOAP and REST), and Windows client applications.

· Experience with the development of APIs, integration with other system using APIs and use of API management tools (e.g., Swagger, OpenAPI, Postman, Apigee).

· Experience with multi-threaded applications, in using DI (IoC) frameworks, with concurrency patterns.

· Working experience with refactoring and optimization.

· Experience with and knowledge of object-oriented programming and various design and architectural patterns.

· Experience in applying fundamental design principles and best practices for scalable
application.

• Experience and competency with different testing platforms including unit, performance and load testing.
• Experience with creating system requirements from business requirements and designing new solutions and functionalities which meet business/client needs.

• Knowledge of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles.
• Knowledge of security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signatures), PKI concepts, and SSL.
