RQ00638 - Sr. Software Developer - Full Stack

6-month contract (110 business days) - 2 possible extensions

3 days onsite/2 days remote - Metro Hall, 55 John Street (Three days per week in-office schedule. Mondays and Wednesdays are anchor days, with one additional floating day of your choice.)

Must Haves:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience on designing, developing, deploying, and managing APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and CloudHub.
• 3+ years of experience, strong programming skills in Java, including object-oriented design and performance optimization.
• 3+ years of experience building microservices using Spring Boot, including REST APIs and dependency injection.
• 3+ years of familiarity with Apache Camel for routing, mediation, and enterprise integration patterns.
• 3+ years experience of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and cloud-native design principles.

Seeking a highly skilled Integration Specialist to design, develop, and support middleware solutions on CloudHub (MuleSoft Anypoint Platform) and on-premise OpenShift environments.

1. Hands-on experience on designing, developing, deploying, and managing APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and CloudHub.

2. Strong working knowledge of Anypoint Studio for building, debugging, and testing Mule applications.

3. Solid experience with DataWeave for complex data transformation (JSON, XML, CSV).

4. Strong programming skills in Java, including object-oriented design and performance optimization.

5. Experience building microservices using Spring Boot, including REST APIs and dependency injection.

6. Familiarity with Apache Camel for routing, mediation, and enterprise integration patterns.

7. Knowledge of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and cloud-native design principles.

8. Knowledge and experience integrating front-end UI with the constructed API

9 Experience using AI coding tools to improve development productivity, code quality, and automation

Assignment of Duties

• Collaborates with business and technical inter-divisional staff and professional services to deliver and sustain API development and integration solutions through the life cycle and reports progress to manager, stakeholders and team members and ensures successful delivery of solutions adhering to project management methodology
• Determines requirements, analyzes and recommends feasible options, designs, builds and/or codes, acquires, tests, and implements enterprise information structures and applications, to meet critical City-wide and divisional business objectives and to provide a scalable enterprise solution
• Applies technical expertise to recommend, develop and maintain corporate policies, procedures and standards that are consistent with legislation to ensure enterprise information and applications integrity
• Applies technical expertise to ensure security, privacy and quality assurance requirements are implemented in a manner that delivers business requirements and is consistent with MFIPPA and legislation, thereby ensuring the integrity of complex enterprise information and applications
• Develops and/or applies complex business and application models, information structures, data models, data schemas, technical program code, network and security interfaces, data and application design as governed by architectural frameworks, technology standards, information

Deliverables:

1. Prepare requirements specification, technical documentation(system architecture, design documents, and technology stack descriptions), user documentation.

2. Prepare database schema, entity-relationship, and data flow diagrams.

3. Prepare test plans, test cases, scenarios, and results documents.

4. Track problems, defects, and issues within a large project.

• $76.97/hr - $92.36/hr T4
