Position: RPGLE Production Support Engineer

Experience: 4+ Years

Location: Pune / Bangalore / Noida

Work Mode: 5 Days Work from Office (Mandatory from Client Location)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced RPGLE Production Support Engineer to support and maintain critical IBM i (AS/400) applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in RPGLE application support, incident management, troubleshooting, and production monitoring in a 24x7 support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for RPGLE-based applications running on IBM i (AS/400) systems.
• Monitor application performance and proactively address production issues.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents, defects, and performance bottlenecks.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve production issues.
• Support batch job monitoring, job scheduling, and production deployments.
• Handle service requests, incidents, and change management activities as per SLAs.
• Maintain support documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
• Participate in on-call and shift support activities.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in RPGLE Production Support.
• Strong knowledge of IBM i (AS/400) platform.
• Experience with RPGLE, CLLE, DB2/400, SQL, Query/400.
• Good understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and production monitoring.
• Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
• Ability to perform log analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Exposure to banking, financial services, insurance, or retail applications.
• Experience working in a 24x7 production support environment.

Shift & Work Requirements

• 5 Days Work from Office is mandatory from the client location.
• Night Shift Requirement: 1 week every month, including weekends.
• Shift Timing: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Shift Allowance: Applicable during the assigned night shift week.
