We are seeking a skilled and experienced RPG Developer (IBM iSeries / AS400) to join a long-term enterprise project within the Healthcare sector.
This role focuses on application development, maintenance, and production support on IBM i environments, working closely with internal teams and business stakeholders to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
• Work with RPGLE and CL in enterprise environments.
• Handle batch jobs, job scheduling, debugging, and job servicing.
• Provide production support and resolve operational issues.
• Work with DB2 for SQL for database design and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Healthcare Provider & Payer applications.
• Interact with internal teams and clients to provide technical solutions.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and manage concurrent support activities.
• Participate in on-call support rotation (weekends from home).
• 5+ years of experience in RPG / RPGLE development
• Strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) application development and maintenance
• Solid experience handling Batch Jobs, debugging, and job servicing
• Experience with Job Scheduling tools (Schedule M, Robo, RBO or similar)
• Strong knowledge of DB2 for SQL and database design
• Working knowledge of CL programming environment
• Experience providing Production Support in enterprise environments
• Experience working with ticketing tools (ServiceNow or similar)
