UMG is currently seeking to fill the role of Royalty Analyst Income Processing. In this role, you will be processing license income receipts received from other companies. Payments related to those statements must be processed as income and if applicable, must be shared with relevant UMG Artists/Participants to ensure that we are accurately reporting royalties to artists and third parties in accordance with the applicable agreements and licenses.

This position affords the right candidate exposure to all aspects of royalty reporting and many key players in the business space. The right candidate will have a passion for music and be hungry to learn and grow in the business of music.

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Analyse and process licensing income receipts for royalty obligations

  • Process adjustments to the Royalty System, BRC (Back Royalty Calculation)

  • Set up manual articles in accordance with royalty contracts

  • Process flow thru or out of cycle payments

  • Mainframe data entry

  • Maintain various detailed logs

  • Assist with daily inquiries in a timely manner

  • Assist with Month-end tasks – Manual Batch Sales Load/Analysis/Reconciliation

  • Provide supporting documents to Audit

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Must be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Experience:

  • Experience with recording contracts and royalty accounting a plus.

Education:

  • 4 year college degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
