Job Description

Router Technicians at Columbia Distributing are tasked with the planning and execution of daily delivery routes by using our routing software, currently RoadNet They continually maintain the information of our customers and territories as well as ensure efficient delivery routes are created and sent to our warehouses daily. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute optimized plans that deliver the most cost-effective Delivery, Sales, and Merchandising routes in accordance with daily business needs.
  • Maintain routes; work with sales, customer service, delivery, and warehouse departments to adjust and improve the efficiency of delivery routes.
  • Communicate to the warehouse and delivery team the next days' schedule.
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and other teammates.
  • Actively Participate in branch meetings, assist in presenting supported initiatives, and assist in reporting progress to branch Leaders
  • Always demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values
  • Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.

This job operates from our corporate office (Wilsonville, OR), mostly indoors with occasional outdoor work

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Sunday through Thursday schedule. However, days/hours of work may vary.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to advance Excel

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Beverage and direct-store-delivery experience
  • Routing systems knowledge and skills
  • Familiarity with Vermont Information Processing (VIP) Beverage system and Roadnet Transportation Suite (RTS) or other Routing software would be a plus
  • Familiarity with RoadNet would be a plus

Compensation

  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
  • Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
