Job Description

$1,000 Sign on Bonus

Our Newport, RI depot is look for our next route driving rockstar. Our commercial truck drivers have a schedule that consists of 4 10-hour shifts throughout the week. The start time can be anywhere between 3 am and 6 am. This is a local route, so you'll be able to be home every night. Our drivers have a starting hourly rate between $30-$31.50 per hour. Drivers are paid weekly, direct deposit on Fridays. As a full time employee of Mahoney Environmental below are some of the benefits you should take advantage of:

This position qualifies for a sign on bonus of $1,000.00. The sign on bonus to be paid out in two equal installments. First payment of $500 paid after 6 months of employment and second payment of $500 after one year of employment.

What you'll do:

  • Provide excellent customer service and relay any customer concerns to your manager in a timely fashion.
  • Handle 2" to 3" hoses pumping out grease trap materials unto truck.
  • Clean area around tanks.
  • Operate box truck or pick up and drop off containers as needed.
  • Stay current on all Mahoney Safety trainings.
  • Maintain a good driving record within Mahoney acceptable standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need:

  • A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience with your CDL.
  • Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement (or willingness to get Tanker Endorsement prior to your start date).
  • Good driving record. Safety risk rating within Mahoney acceptable standards.
  • DOT certified medical card.
  • The ability to lift, push or pull 100 lbs. on a repetitive basis

Working Conditions:

  • Work outdoors in different weather conditions.
  • Exposure to used cooking oil and grease trap material odors.
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
  • Handling grease coated equipment.
