Job Description:
A Roustabout is an
entry-level offshore rig worker responsible for manual labor, deck operations,
and assisting the drilling crew. Key duties include:
1.
Deck Operations:
o
Assist in loading/unloading supply vessels.
o
Handle and move equipment, pipes, and drilling
materials.
o
Secure cargo with slings, chains, and lifting
gear.
2-
Rig Maintenance & Cleaning:
o
Clean and maintain the rig deck, equipment,
and workspaces.
o
Perform painting, chipping, and basic repairs
as directed.
3.
Drilling Support:
o
Assist derrickhands and roughnecks with pipe
handling.
o
Help in mixing and handling drilling fluids
(mud) when required.
4-
Safety & Compliance:
o
Follow QatarEnergy (QP), Shell, or
operator-specific safety policies.
o
Participate in emergency drills (fire, man
overboard, etc.).
o
Wear proper PPE and adhere to HSE regulations.
5-
General Labor:
o
Operate basic machinery (e.g., forklifts,
winches) if certified.
o
Assist in waste management and environmental
compliance.

Experience
:
No prior offshore experience required
(but preferred).
