Our Company is seeking: A highly motivated Rotational Construction Coordinator to join our construction team, A|P Community Builders (APCB), in Austin, Texas.

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description Summary:

The Rotational Construction Coordinator is a development role designed for recent graduates or those new to construction. Through structured rotations in Pre-Construction/Estimating and Compliance, and then Project Management, the Coordinator works alongside onsite and corporate mentors to learn every part of APCB operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Travels to assigned offices and job sites and performs the duties of each role according to program guidelines.
  • Shadows onsite and corporate mentors, taking a full part in day-to-day office and field operations.
  • Supports pre-construction and estimating, including pricing exercises, scope writing, plan reviews, and the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
  • Supports compliance tasks, including certified payroll, Davis-Bacon and HUD Section 3 requirements, insurance tracking, and Notice to Owner (NTO) tracking.
  • Creates, updates, and maintains project controls that track RFIs, shop drawings and submittals, change orders, quality control, safety, financial performance, and closeout.
  • Supports the change management process by updating logs, obtaining pricing, developing estimates and proposals, and writing change orders.
  • Establishes, monitors, and maintains project schedules using scheduling software.
  • Assists with buyout, subcontracts, permitting, project budgeting, monthly pay requisitions, and lien releases.
  • Supports the VP of Construction in negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Produces regular reports using construction project management software such as Procore.
  • Proactively identifies issues that could lead to problems and helps find solutions.
  • Organizes and maintains all project documents, meeting minutes, and records.
  • Supports the coordination of daily construction activities and material deliveries.

Requirements:

  • One (1) year of previous relevant experience. Recent graduates and those new to construction are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to read and interpret project documents, contracts, specifications, and government regulations.
  • Strong math, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, LCP Tracker, Elations, or myCOI is a plus.
  • Ability to travel locally and out of state as needed.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or after hours as needed, sometimes with as little as 24 hours' notice.
