As a Rotating Equipment Technical Specialist. you will ensure system integrity while maintaining compliance, and the safety of facility equipment by improving the performance and reliability of rotating equipment. Project planning, teamwork and evaluation skills are keys to success in this role and safety is of utmost importance!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Performs sophisticated technical assignments that ensure system integrity, compliance, facility equipment maintenance, and process operations support

  • Troubleshoots and solves complex technical or operational problems, guided by past precedents – likely to be consulted when problems arise

  • Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance programs for the rotating equipment in assigned facilities

  • Participates in project planning and collaborates with company partners to guarantee accurate and available data

  • Reads, understands and evaluates engineering design documents, contracts and agreements

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with Low and Medium voltage electric motors, reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors and pumps

  • Knowledge of installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair

  • Preferred: Experience with Vibration Analysis/Testing Category 1,2,3 or higher

  • Preferred: Understanding of API 618 pulsation analysis requirements and experience applying them

  • Preferred: Experience with Fleet-level maintenance and reliability program

  • Preferred: Knowledge of equipment health monitoring

  • Preferred: Technical training facilitation, material development and root cause failure analysis training experience

  • Preferred: Equipment sizing and selection experience

  • Preferred: General rotating equipment experience (high-speed reciprocating compression, gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, pumps, turbo expanders)

  • Preferred: Experience using the following tools and software towards equipment maintenance, reliability, performance analysis, sizing, selection: Maximo, Windrock Analyzers, Resonance Analyzers, OSIsoft PI, Caterpillar Gas Engine Rating Pro (GERP), Ariel performance software

  • Preferred: Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) certification

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma/GED with equivalent experience or Associates degree and a minimum eight (8) years’ experience in oil & gas industry

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or engineering and a minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty field

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be willing to:

  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces

  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed

  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time

  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

  • Use hand tools

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises

  • Will be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with overnight stays up to 50% of the time

Other Requirements:

  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record

  • Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

Hourly/Salary Guidelines:

(Minimum, Midpoint, Maximum)

$97,800 - $142,400 - $196,400
