The purpose of the Room Service Associate is to serve meals to patients in a professional, efficient manner; instruct patients on the meal ordering system, assist patients with placing their meal orders within the limitations of the physician prescribed diet, and to assess patients’ capabilities to utilize the meal order system. The Room Service Associate will provide basic information to a patient regarding their physician prescribed diet and will alert the patient’s Clinical Dietitian and/or Nurse when further education or assessment is needed. The Room Service Ambassador is the main representative of the Food and Nutrition Services Department on patient floors.
