Room Service Associate
Room Service Associates are responsible for delivering meals to patients and guests with a cheerful and excellent service attitude following the approved method of service.
Department: Food and Nutrition
Hours: Part-Time, 20 hours a week required
Required: Food Handlers within 90 days of hire
Pay: Based on experience, starting at $16.14 an hour
$500 sign on bonus
Responsibilities
Assists in restocking coolers, plates, flatware, cups, etc, Assists wherever needed in the Room Service operation – taking patient meal orders, etc., Confirms the patient’s identity by checking ID badge and verifying patient name and date of birth, Delivers guest trays and collects payment., Demonstrates knowledge of all menu offerings, diet variations and specifics of what may be ordered by patients based on their physician prescribed diet., Ensures that all foods are covered, labeled, dated and timed in accordance with HACCP guidelines., Ensures “Always Very Satisfied” service. Uses good judgment in addressing / resolving any patient complaints, Functions as part of a team that ensures delivery of food to patients within approved time of 45 minutes., Inventories, stocks and maintains the PAR levels for the unit refrigerators with snack/food items as required to meet patient needs during hours Room Service is not available., Maintains a clean, safe and sanitary work environment as established by all regulatory agencies., Maintains a friendly and cheerful demeanor at all times while on duty., Records and monitors all quality control indicators., Returns soiled trays after meal service from soiled cart., Transports patient Room Service carts to units and delivers meals to patients following the approved method of service and using key customer service scripting.
