Job Description

Job Title: ROOM ATTENDANT - INN

Rate of Pay: $17.00hr

Shift: Variable Shifts Monday – Sunday

FTYR Benefited Positions - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (4-5 shifts/week)

PT Year Round or FT/PT Seasonal available

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining clean, orderly, and comfortable guest accommodations both indoors and outdoors.
  • Willingness to work indoors in high traffic hallways based on assigned areas.
  • Check out keys, radio, and phone from Safety.
  • Maintain assigned housekeeping carts with necessary supplies and ensure they are neatly organized.
  • Ensure products are used to manufacturer's standard and OSHA standards.
  • Alert housekeeping supervisors which room is being cleaned by using phone to update housekeeping system, Optii.
  • Prepare and service guest rooms daily according to resort and brand standards.
  • Change the linens on the beds, clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, and replenish amenities
  • Clean bathrooms in accordance with housekeeping procedures: showers, tubs, sinks, toilets, counters, mirrors, and floors.
  • Place amenities in lodging units: soap, coffee, creamers, cocoa, teas, etc.
  • Remove all trash and recycle.
  • Uphold sustainability practices, including mindful water and energy use, recycling, and minimizing waste.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining exterior areas such as cabin porches, entryways, and walkways.
  • Report any broken items to supervisor.
  • Inspect guest rooms for maintenance issues and promptly report any deficiencies.
  • Provide personalized touches to enhance the guest experience, align with Sundance's focus on authenticity and attention to detail.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Alert housekeeping supervisors that RAs are leaving the room by using phone to update Optii.
  • Reach "full efficiency" which is defined as maintaining an average of 80 points for four consecutive weeks.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to cleanliness standards and responds positively to feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support colleagues, demonstrate teamwork, and assist with special projects or deep cleaning as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Use of a 2-way radio is frequently required.
  • A valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines is preferred.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
