Job Description

The Hotel Burg is looking for a Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team—someone who is eager to learn about the hospitality industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings a strong sense of urgency to their work. This non-exempt position reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor and requires strong communication skills, organization, and a friendly, thoughtful approach when interacting with both guests and colleagues.

In this role, the Room Attendant is responsible for keeping guest rooms clean, comfortable, and well-organized. Daily tasks include making beds, changing linens, replenishing amenities, and cleaning floors, as well as reporting any maintenance concerns and assisting guests with basic requests.

What You'll Do:

  • Cleaning and Organizing: Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors; cleaning bathrooms and other surfaces; and organizing furniture and amenities.
  • Changing Linens and Towels: Replacing bed linens and towels in guest rooms.
  • Restocking Amenities: Replacing toiletries, towels, and other room amenities.
  • Reporting Maintenance Issues: Reporting any damaged or malfunctioning items in guest rooms to the appropriate department.
  • Guest Service: Answering guest questions, providing assistance, and helping guests with small requests.
  • Following Procedures: Adhering to hotel safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a Clean Environment: Keeping hallways and common areas clean and organized.
  • Stocking and Organizing Cleaning Supplies: Preparing and maintaining cleaning carts with necessary supplies.
  • Assisting with Laundry and Linen: Collecting and sorting dirty linens and towels and possibly assisting with laundry operations.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Experience as a Room Attendant or Maid required
  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work as a team to deliver an exceptional guest experience
