Mercure Canberra is one of the city’s first established hotels, combining old-world charm with modern comforts. The hotel is located moments from the CBD, as well as the National Convention Centre and Australian War Memorial.
Reporting to our Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisors, you will be carrying out cleaning duties to the highest standard to exceed our guests' expectations. This is a casual position.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning guest rooms, storage areas & corridors as allocated to the required standard.
- Ensuring guest supplies & advertising materials in guest rooms are replenished and to the correct standards for the room type.
- Carrying our programmed cleaning duties as scheduled.
- Ensuring the correct usage & storage of cleaning agents in line with health & safety regulations and manufacturer's instructions.
- Ensuring all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
You will:
- Have strong attention to detail with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Be able to communicate effectively with all levels of team members and guests
- Be physically fit and comfortable working autonomously
