Client located in the NY Metro area is actively searching for a full-time Commercial Roofing Foreman This is an urgent requirement and client is ready to conduct immediate interviews for well-qualified candidates.

Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Work Loc: Linden, NJ

The Commercial Roofing Foreman plays a crucial role in planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of field installers within their crew. They are responsible for leading a team of roofers specializing in the installation of commercial roofing products and systems with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide training, leadership, and guidance to field employees under their supervision.
2. Train employees in safety procedures and the proper use of safety equipment.
3. Maximize productivity while upholding job cost efficiency, installation quality, and employee safety.
4. Ensure the efficient utilization of materials and equipment.
5. Recruit, mentor, and retain a dependable and knowledgeable architectural sheet metal workforce.
6. Maintain high-quality standards for the department across all projects.
7. Educate employees on architectural sheet metal best practices, terminology, materials, and equipment.
8. Plan, administer, and participate as an instructor in Company-sponsored educational programs for the workforce.
9. Promote a strong work ethic and enforce the Company’s policies, procedures, and practices.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in PC software applications including Word and Excel.
• Competent in blueprint reading and specifications.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record is preferred.
• Willingness to occasionally travel and work out of town.
• Availability for extended work hours when required.
• Must not have a fear of heights.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of various roofing products and systems.
• Advanced planning skills to maximize workforce, material, and equipment productivity.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Demonstrated ability to apply common sense and fulfill written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
• Adept in representing the Company professionally and promoting a positive and productive working environment.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
• Prioritization abilities and a sense of urgency in task completion.
