- As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated and detail-driven Estimator to join our team and help deliver accurate, confident pricing that supports successful builds.
- In this role, you'll manage your own workflow, work to deadlines, and collaborate closely with other members to ensure estimates are completed accurately and efficiently.
- To succeed, you'll be highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities within a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
The role includes:
Duties of the role include (but certainly are not limited to):
- Reading and interpreting building plans to carry out quantity take-offs using a CAD-based system
- Understanding customer specifications and providing appropriate solutions if required
- Ensuring accuracy of customer documentation and compliance requirements
- Estimating the materials and labour required on site-specific jobs
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Qualities we look for
- Experience in estimating residential construction
- Construction industry and product knowledge
- Methodical with strong attention to detail
- Organised and Accurate
- Ability to accurately read and interpret building plans and 3D CAD models
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Outlook
- Sound knowledge and application of mathematics
- Good communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Haves (Desirable):
- Hands-on experience with computer-based estimating packages
- Basic roofing knowledge
- Sound knowledge of Applicad Software preferred
- Training provided in Roof Wizard
- Proactive and interactive approach
- Takes responsibility and ownership of outcomes
- Positive team player.
- Ability to collaborate with other stakeholders
- Comfortable having difficult conversations when required
