Overview:
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated and detail-driven Estimator to join our team and help deliver accurate, confident pricing that supports successful builds.
In this role, you'll manage your own workflow, work to deadlines, and collaborate closely with other members to ensure estimates are completed accurately and efficiently.
To succeed, you'll be highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities within a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
The role includes:
Duties of the role include (but certainly are not limited to):
Reading and interpreting building plans to carry out quantity take-offs using a CAD-based system
Understanding customer specifications and providing appropriate solutions if required
Ensuring accuracy of customer documentation and compliance requirements
Estimating the materials and labour required on site-specific jobs
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Qualities we look for
Experience in estimating residential construction
Construction industry and product knowledge
Methodical with strong attention to detail
Organised and Accurate
Ability to accurately read and interpret building plans and 3D CAD models
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Outlook
Sound knowledge and application of mathematics
Good communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Haves (Desirable):
Hands-on experience with computer-based estimating packages
Basic roofing knowledge
Sound knowledge of Applicad Software preferred
Training provided in Roof Wizard
Proactive and interactive approach
Takes responsibility and ownership of outcomes
Positive team player.
Ability to collaborate with other stakeholders
Comfortable having difficult conversations when required
