Responsabilities
Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction workers engaged in roofing and shingling and other related construction activities in residential and commercial properties.
Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other contractors, managers and staff.
Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Requisition materials and supplies
May need to train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
Prepare work progress reports
May also supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and labourers.
Requirements
Completion of secondary school is usually required.
Several years of experience in the trade or in the work area supervised are usually required.
