Position: Rolling Mill Mechanical Technician (Steel)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rolling Mill Mechanical Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of our steel rolling mills. This is a full-time position with a 2-year contract, offering competitive salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on rolling mill equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and develop and implement solutions to ensure smooth and efficient operation
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality output and minimize downtime
- Work closely with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to management
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades
- Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and operation of rolling mills, preferably in the steel industry
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with PLCs and other control systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and overtime as needed
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is a plus
