Job Description

The Roller Waiter is responsible for delivering a fun, dynamic, and high-quality food & beverage service experience while moving on roller skates/blades within designated outlets. This role represents the vibrant, energetic, and guest-centric spirit of Rixos, ensuring service excellence, safety, and guest satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Experience

  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient food & beverage service while skating, in line with Rixos service standards.
  • Create a memorable and engaging guest experience through positive attitude, confidence, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Build rapport with guests and respond to enquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate concerns to the Roller Skater Supervisor when required.

Food & Beverage Service

  • Possess strong knowledge of menu items, beverages, promotions, and outlet concepts.
  • Recommend menu items, suggest pairings, and apply upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and revenue.
  • Ensure orders are delivered accurately, safely, and efficiently.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for service, hygiene, and safety.

Operational Excellence

  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and surrounding service zones.
  • Monitor operating supplies and minimize spoilage or wastage.
  • Assist with inventory counts (monthly, quarterly, annual) as required.

Teamwork & Flexibility

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Remain flexible to rotate within different F&B outlets or departments when required.
  • Attend training sessions, briefings, and meetings as scheduled.
  • Support pre-opening activities, special events, and high-volume operations.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Adhere to Rixos policies, procedures, and ISO Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, 10002).
  • Follow all health, safety, fire, and emergency procedures.
  • Comply with local laws and regulations at all times.
  • Maintain proper grooming, uniform standards, and personal hygiene.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in a 4–5 star hotel or resort are welcome.
  • Ability to confidently skate (roller skates or roller blades) is mandatory
  • Prior experience in entertainment-driven or lifestyle F&B concepts is an advantage.
