As a Research Engineer on our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on research problems that can improve and contribute to the development and deployment of robotics foundation models Your responsibilities in this position will include:
Collaborating with researchers on cutting-edge research projects
Maintaining and ensuring the correct functioning of robotics hardware
Overseeing data engineering efforts
Building and maintaining our software stack for
Deployment and evaluation of control policies on real-hardware
Simulation
Robot teleoperation and data collection
Technical skills
Strong software engineering skills, specifically
You have one or more successful large software projects under your belt
You can pick up new tools and frameworks quickly
2+ years of software and/or robotics engineering experience in an industrial or applied research environment
Proficient in one or more the following programming languages: Python, C++
Familiar with Linux
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
Working with real-robots and sensors
Deployment of ML models on real hardware
Processing and managing large-scale datasets
ROS
Building simulation environments for model evaluation and training
Deep Learning frameworks and libraries such as Pytorch and JAX
Soft skills
Ability to collaborate and work in a team
Strong ability to make independent decisions
Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills
