Job Description

Inspire the next generation of robotics, automation & smart technology talent.

You’ll deliver an engaging, practical VET in Schools program introducing students to robotics, coding, electronics, IoT and automation systems.

This role involves a mix of classroom teaching and practical workshop delivery, ensuring students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess 22586VIC Certificate II in Integrated Technologies (Pre-vocational)
  • Create engaging, practical learning experiences
  • Support and mentor secondary school students
  • Build relationships with schools and stakeholders
  • Track student progression and support completion
  • Contribute to training resources and continuous improvement
  • Maintain RTO compliance and quality standards

About You:

You may be a tradie, technician, or industry professional ready for a career change.

You’ll bring experience in one or more of:

  • Robotics / Automation
  • Electronics / Electrotechnology
  • Mechatronics / Smart Technologies
  • IT systems, coding or IoT

You will also have:

  • Strong communication and engagement skills
  • A passion for mentoring young people
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain – we will support you)

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
