The Robotics & Automation Engineer drives automation and robotization initiatives across the Žatec facility and serves as the primary technical point for automation projects. The role is intended for a highly execution-oriented engineer who delivers practical improvements through direct involvement in project implementation, commissioning, optimization and technical problem solving.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead automation and robotization projects from concept through implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety and cost performance.
  • Develop automation concepts, feasibility studies and ROI-based business cases.
  • Support commissioning, troubleshooting and optimization of automated systems.
  • Establish automation standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Report project progress, risks and delivered benefits to leadership.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Automation, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or proven experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience with industrial robots, PLC systems and automation technologies.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and project execution skills.
  • Experience working with suppliers and automation integrators.
  • Experience with creation of documents (Work Instructions, Manuals, TPM Manuals, etc.)
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Experience with Fanuc and Yaskawa robots and RoboGuide software is an advantage.

This position requires a 5-days in the office schedule.

The stated salary range represents the minimum offer. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications and may significantly exceed this range.

Base Minimum Pay:

Kč771,708.00

Please note that salary is only one component of the total compensation and benefit package available at Caterpillar.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
