With the recent installation and commissioning of three state-of-the-art IGM Robotic Welding Systems at Bowhill Engineering, we are growing our Robotics Team & seek an additional Robotic Welder Operator

This is an exciting & unique
opportunity to work with world-class technology in our new B5 Fabrication Hall, contributing to the production of over 660 precision-engineered steel tunnel segments for the Torrens to Darlington
Project
& future heavy structural steel projects.

About the Role
Advancing Bowhill Engineering’s robotic capabilities, a blend of technical skills, knowledge of welding processes, and familiarity with robotic programming and maintenance is key to success in this role.

Through the daily operating, maintaining, and programming you will ensure efficient, high-quality welds & products and look to increase cost effectiveness of manufacturing operations of our robotic welding systems. Proficiency with CAD software or similar tools, experience in quality control, and understanding of safety protocols are highly beneficial.

Sharing our big picture focus, on enhancing production efficiency, implementing improvements and increasing our robotic capabilities, you will play a key role in operating advanced robotic welding
cells, deliver high performance & specialized welding requirements to produce high-quality fabrication outcomes

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Ability to operate fully automated robotic welding systems
  • Capability to develop advanced offline and online welding programs
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality

Robot Operator/Welder Experience & Qualification

  • Trade Certification (Welding or Fabrication) or relevant on-the-job welding experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • High Risk Forklift Licence (highly desirable)
