Job Summary

We are seeking a Roads & Highways Engineer to support the design and delivery of road and highway infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality transportation solutions.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop road and highway plans consisting of alignment including swept-path analysis, horizontal and vertical profiles, sections, and structure support;
• Drainage design, including catchment delineation and assessment;
• Sewerage design;
• Earthworks planning and modelling using Civil 3D/ Open Roads, including cut-and-fill
• volume calculations; and
• Utilities planning and coordination.
• Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
• Ensure that design is compliant with local and international codes and standards
• Perform quality checks on production drawings
• Write design reports and attend coordination meetings as warranted

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Post-Graduate degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Extensive knowledge of Civil3D, OpenRoads, CAD, and Microsoft Applications
