Turkiye Road Transport operates as a business unit generating an annual value of $5-6 million The Road Transport Manager holds full ownership and is accountable for delivering business outcomes. RT Manager owns 6 Contracts with 3 Haulers operating under 3 different modes (1) NDOS – Lane rate, (2) NDOS - "Fixed & Variable", (3) Mode 1. Annual contract value approx. $35-40mln

  • Carries 2.6 Mln m3 product with 3 Haulers
  • Drives more than 22 Mln kms per annum with app. 200 trucks
  • Delivers product to both VMI and Non-VMI Mobility Dealers

Where You Fit In?

As the Road Transport Value Optimizer, you will be a key contributor in the Road Transport team, responsible for supporting the team in promoting value delivery, optimising performance and tracking delivery of the Continuous Improvement funnel. This role is part of the RT organisation and reports to the RT Manager. It is an individual contributor position that plays an active role in enabling operational efficiency and preventing commercial value leakage as well as managing and leading special projects.

What is the Role?

The position will support the RT team through a combination of Project Management, analytical insights, and liaising with Contract Managers and key stakeholders to unlock supply chain value. The objective is to deliver the transition to a Performance and Risk-based organisation while supporting the maximisation of commercial value in contract management. Some of the accountabilities include:

  • Manage and lead special projects transforming from Fit4 ideation to value delivery of high commercial value.
  • Complete monthly end closure performance file (MEC), (Cost to serve monthly analysis) followed by a detailed analysis providing insights on improvement opportunities
  • Leads the usage /rolling out of Fit 4 and play a key role in training and onboarding team members in using Fit 4 and monitoring UP PBI dashboards.
  • Ensures a healthy value and ideation funnel in Fit 4, tracking CI delivery by RT Contractors and updating performance against target.
  • Support RT Contract Managers / RT Manager with quarterly Business Performance Reviews (BPRs)
  • Delivering Monthly Haulier data into haulier scorecards, extracted from freight process and TMP platform.
  • Acting and leading the interface between Road Transport Team and Finance Teams across the globe to enable a seamless haulier payment process
  • Leads annual T&R process and further on quarterly and monthly financial appraisals for Road Transport
  • Conducts freight assurance reviews to prevent any commercial value leakages
  • Managing damage claims, i.e. due to product x-overs
  • Identify areas for performance optimization and deliver improvements (E2E value opportunities as well as cost and efficiency challenges)
  • Contribute to ambitious Cluster RT cost budget, value creation, service levels working in seamless collaboration with Finance, relevant classes of business, Supply and New Business Integration
  • Take an active role in the road transport tenders by leading and providing offer evaluations and input for contract negotiations.
