Are you driven by work that genuinely makes a difference? If you're motivated by the idea of helping Regional Local Governments to deliver safer road outcomes for their communities then this could be the role for you.
Based in Albany and supporting Local Governments in the surrounding Great Southern and southern Wheatbelt regions, you'll understand the unique strengths and challenges of regional communities and bring excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to build positive relationships.
You will play a key role in building the capacity and capability of assigned RoadWise Councils as they plan, deliver, monitor and communicate effective, evidence informed local road safety action.
This is meaningful work where those road safety actions directly contribute to reducing and preventing serious road trauma.
We welcome applications from candidates with knowledge around Health Promotion principles across regional Western Australia, as an alternative work location may be considered for the right person.
How you'll make an impact:
Your first six months will be all about:
Knowledge of Local Government operations, the WA road safety strategy and public health principles will be well regarded.
A car will be provided with this role so a “C” class driver’s licence, a safe driving record and a willingness to travel is essential.
What is RoadWise?
WALGA's RoadWise program is funded by the Western Australian Government to engage and support Local Governments to contribute to national and state road safety objectives. This happens through activities designed to build the capacity and capability of Local Governments by:
• Providing direct assistance and support to RoadWise Councils,
• Sharing information and facilitating the transfer of knowledge,
• Inspiring and motiving best practice, and
• Developing sector policy and advocating on behalf of Local Governments and their communities.

Established in 1907, C&K is proud to be the largest and longest established provider of community based early childhood education and care services in Queensland.
Our philosophy, where children come first, emphasises the fact that for C&K the interests of children are paramount. Any profits generated from our services are returned to benefit children and the community.
We are committed to providing quality education and care for your child’s pre-schooling years (from birth to school age) in an environment − both inside and outside − that enables children to explore, satisfy their natural curiosity and grow as individuals. Independent research indicates that children who have enjoyed a C&K early learning experience are the most successful in their first years of schooling.
Over the last century hundreds of thousands of Queensland children and parents have become part of the C&K family. As a community based association we recognise the valuable role families and the wider community play in children’s education and care.
