RoadWise is looking for people who can build relationships, influence local government organisations and turn priorities into action.
Don’t have a road safety background? That’s okay. You don't need to be a road safety expert on day one. What matters is your ability to work with people, facilitate conversations, build capability, influence without authority and support positive change.
We'll help you build the road safety knowledge.
Road Safety Advisors sit in the sweet spot between strategy and action. They're not the decision-makers, but they play a critical role in helping others make better decisions.
This is a role for people who:
You might currently work in program management, community development, stakeholder engagement, health promotion, local government, regional development or similar.
Whatever your background, if you can build relationships, influence change and bring a fresh perspective, you'll already have many of the foundations needed to succeed in this role.
Your local knowledge could make a difference. Regional communities benefit from people who understand their unique challenges, opportunities and priorities.
You'll have the autonomy that comes with working in a regional setting, while remaining connected to a supportive and collaborative team. This is your chance to make change, close to home.
Your experience could be exactly what RoadWise needs.

Through the RoadWise Program, WALGA works with Local Governments to strengthen their contribution to road safety and connect broader State and National road safety priorities with practical action at the Local Government Level. For more than 30 years, RoadWise has supported Local Governments across Western Australia to improve how road safety is governed, planned, managed and delivered.
RoadWise provides guidance, tools, resources and dedicated Road Safety Advisor support to help Councils identify priorities, build capability and embed better road safety practice. Today, RoadWise supports 75 Councils across metropolitan, regional and remote WA, with more Councils continuing to join the program.
RoadWise is funded through the Western Australian Government's Road Trauma Trust Account and the State Road Funds to Local Government Agreement.
Working at RoadWise means being part of WALGA, a purpose-driven organisation that supports Local Governments and communities across Western Australia. At WALGA, we believe success happens at The Sweet Spot, the place where big picture purpose meets local community impact, with perks that come without the trade‑offs.
The Sweet Spot is our employee promise. It reflects what you can expect when you work with us: meaningful work, genuine flexibility, and an environment built on curiosity, collaboration and shared purpose. Whether you're looking to grow your career, broaden your experience or contribute to something bigger, WALGA provides the opportunity to make an impact while maintaining balance.
It’s not just a place to work, it’s where you can find your Sweet Spot.
If this sounds like the next step you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
WALGA encourages people from different backgrounds to apply, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and people with disabilities.
We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all candidates. If you have any specific needs or require accommodations to participate fully in the interview process, please let us know. This could include, but is not limited to, accessibility requirements, assistive technologies, or any other considerations.

Established in 1907, C&K is proud to be the largest and longest established provider of community based early childhood education and care services in Queensland.
Our philosophy, where children come first, emphasises the fact that for C&K the interests of children are paramount. Any profits generated from our services are returned to benefit children and the community.
We are committed to providing quality education and care for your child’s pre-schooling years (from birth to school age) in an environment − both inside and outside − that enables children to explore, satisfy their natural curiosity and grow as individuals. Independent research indicates that children who have enjoyed a C&K early learning experience are the most successful in their first years of schooling.
Over the last century hundreds of thousands of Queensland children and parents have become part of the C&K family. As a community based association we recognise the valuable role families and the wider community play in children’s education and care.
