Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Yorkshire to assist with the appointment of a Road Marking Specialist, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £17.47 - £22.02 per hour

A Road Marking Specialist is required to support NY Highways in delivering essential highway maintenance services across the road network. The role involves travelling to and from sites in a company vehicle to carry out line painting and apply thermoplastic and paint road markings, while operating specialist equipment and maintaining safe working areas through effective traffic management. The post also supports winter maintenance and emergency highway response activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply thermoplastic and paint road markings across the highway network.
  • Carry out line painting and other road marking activities.
  • Travel to and from sites using a company vehicle.
  • Operate specialist road marking equipment and vehicles safely.
  • Set up and maintain appropriate traffic management and safe work zones.

Essentials:

  • Previous experience in road marking, highways maintenance or a similar environment.
  • Experience applying thermoplastic and paint road markings.
  • Ability to operate specialist equipment and vehicles safely.
  • Good understanding of highway health and safety requirements.
  • Experience setting up or working with traffic management.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
