Road Logistics Intern is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day logistics and trucking operations to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods. The role involves scheduling dispatches, route planning, monitoring deliveries, managing vendor and customer coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety and transportation regulations. Additionally, the executive is responsible for preparing billing invoices and verifying vendor invoices to support accurate financial reporting and cost control.

How you create impact

  • Ensure the accurate and timely communication of all orders to drivers, ensuring that the right information is relayed for smooth execution.
  • Track and manage orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring all timelines and customer requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with drivers, ensuring pick-up/delivery timeline, tasks are completed efficiently and in line with operational standards.
  • Communicate with internal team, subcontractors, customers and relevant parties both local and overseas to get smooth operation and seek for improvement.
  • Conduct operation in line with SOPs, working instructions.
  • Report, Record, Resolve customer’s complaints in professional manner.
  • Maximize fleet utilization, optimize route planning for cost-effective and timely deliveries, and oversee the allocation of trucks and driver performance.
  • Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and delivery documentation.
  • Conduct regular customer and subcontractor performance review.
  • Record shipment in system, input revenue and cost, and resolve / escalate any rate discrepancies.
  • Check supplier’s debit note + index incoming supplier invoices, ensuring all transactions are accrued without error.
  • Ensure the debit notes are issued to the customer accurately and on time, and in accordance with agreed rates and delivery records.
  • Ensure timely revenue recognition, invoicing + gross profit confirmation per the Finance Accounting Policy.
  • Provide support in various processes within the team.

What we would like you to bring

  • Last year student or graduated, majoring in Logistics, Transportation, Import/ Export, Supply Chain Management or relevant major and can take the internship fulltime for 12 months.
  • Having basic knowledge in Import-Export, Truck operations, Customer Clearance, Logistics coordination.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Good at Communication and Problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of English.
  • Fast learner, eager to learn, can-do-attitude.
  • Data accuracy, high sense of urgency, active, good time management.
