RN/RPN Foot Care Nurse
1 FTE Contract Position to March 31, 2028

One of a network provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking a full time Foot Care Nurse, who as a valuable member of the Community Health Centre team, will provide foot care services and assist in the delivery of care to HART Hub clients, primary care services to the clients we serve with a strong emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, education and empowerment. This is a full time Footcare nurse position working 35 hours per week/70 hours every 2 weeks.
The position has a competitive salary, the Health Care of Ontario’s Pension Plan and an excellent group health benefits package.
The salary range for this position is $72,039 to $83,187 for Registered Nurse (RN) and $53,111 to $63,986 for Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) per year. We currently do not use AI to screen resumes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• RN/RPN with current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in good standing.
• Minimum one year Foot Care Nurse Experience.
• Certification in Basic and Advanced Foot Care is required to perform clinical activities according to the College of Nurses standards for nursing practice.
• Thorough knowledge and proficiency in current nursing procedures, nursing assessment, physical assessments and treatment measures.
• Working with populations that are under housed and living with current or past substance use requiring support with complex care.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work both independently, and collaboratively, within interprofessional team environment.
• Experience working with electronic medical records
• Utilizes professional assessment skills to identify physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of clients.
• Has awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within individuals who face barriers to accessing care (under housed, living with mental health challenges or diagnoses, current or past substance use, complex health histories, 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers, non-insured).
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
