The Corewell Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic at Grosse Pointe is a teaching clinic with resident physicians who practice alongside supervising physicians to improve healthcare through education and research. This partnership allows our physicians to provide quality care to all our patients. Our successful candidate will be an experienced nursing leader with a passion for ambulatory care and developing high-performing teams. They will be skilled in managing staffing needs, employee relations, and performance management while maintaining a positive and accountable work environment. This leader must be comfortable addressing difficult conversations, providing coaching and corrective action when needed, and ensuring operational and clinical standards are consistently met. The ability to balance staff engagement, patient satisfaction, and day-to-day operational demands will be critical to success in this role.
The normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with some flexibility.
The Outpatient Nurse Supervisor coordinates and organizes clinical personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization, in a cost-effective manner, and in conjunction with the operations manager where applicable. He/she has responsibility for clinical operations, orients, and trains clinical staff, and ensures competency for excellence in clinical practice. Develop process improvement initiatives based on best practice and participate in the development of policies and procedures. Supports quality patient care to meet regulatory guidelines and participates in Patient and Family Centered Care while also aiding individuals in a manner that considers their special or age-related needs.
