The RN Staff Nurse Ambulatory-Clinic is responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse Ambulatory-Clinic assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.

Peds Subspecialist PDR is a multispecialty clinic that supports Randall Children's (RC) Genetics, RC Physiatry, and Pediatric Developmental Pediatricians. These specialists serve a patient population with highly complex medical and social needs. This position is critical to the functioning of the clinic as well as to support the preadmission process of rehab patients transferred from other organizations to the 8th floor of RCH. The primary duties include telephone triage and advice, nurse only visits, care coordination, rooming patients, completing orders, authorization of medications and hospital admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care within an assigned department or unit

  • Collaborates as part of the health care team under the direction of the clinical manager or designee

  • Adheres to the Standards and Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses

  • Performs all aspects of the nursing process:

    • Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care

  • Follows established Legacy Health System standards, including Patient assessment protocols & patient transfer procedures

Qualifications

Education:

  • As required by licensure.
  • BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred.
  • BSN may be required for specific assignments.
  • Experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Experience:

  • One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing residency program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration.
  • Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Licensure

  • Current applicable state RN license required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association required.

Pay Range

USD $51.78 - USD $77.34 /Hr.
