St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full Time RN for our Surgery Department. Responsible for the duties of Staff Nurse, functioning in that capacity. Responsible for precepting/teaching all personnel or orientees in assigned surgical service area. Works in coordination with the Director of Surgical Services or their designee to organize designated service, monitor patient care, monitor and order supplies, and work with physicians to decrease cost.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing and an unrestrictive active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of West Virginia. BSN preferred. Certification in Field of Specialty (preferred or must obtain within two (2) years of employment). CNOR/CRNFA, or certification in
Med/Surg Nursing if for Endo Specialty.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three (3) years perioperative/operating room experience. Robotic Surgery experience preferred. MIS experience preferred.
SKILLS:
Knowledge of surgical terminology, equipment, materials, policies/procedures, sterilization protocol/OR attire, and the fundamental methods relating to surgery. Demonstrates basic knowledge of data collection, research protocols, etc. Knowledge of surgical procedures. Demonstrate leadership ability and collaborative skills. BLS required.
