Why the Cancer Treatment Room?Torrey Pines clinic has been serving our San Diego coastal communities for several years.Our highly skilled Specialized Services RNs work in an innovative, welcoming, and patient-centered environment.The department consists of 25 chairs and do an average of 55-70 cancer treatments including oncology infusions and supporting treatments. The care team includes charge and resource nurses and resources, and you will work in close contact with the clinic provider and their team.Treating all malignancy types, we have a compounding pharmacy on site and are proud of our patient outcomes. What you'll do: Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures, medication administration, chemotherapy/biotherapy administration as appropriate.Educate patients and document patient interactions.Practice infection control.Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice. This position is eligible for up to $4k in New Hire Retention Incentives and relocation up to $3k if moving from 100+ miles away. Required Qualifications:ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.Completion of accredited RN program.Minimum 1 year RN experience.Current CA RN license.Current American Heart Association BLS certificate.Direct experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy.Preferred Qualifications:1 or more years RN experience in an outpatient Oncology setting.Excellent IV skills and experience with central venous catheters.Outpatient chemo infusion experience.
