M24 Special Delivery Unit features a dedicated operating room and triage area designed to care for complex obstetrical populations throughout the delivery experience. Nurses on this unit play an essential role in providing compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting families through one of life’s most meaningful moments. From admission through discharge, caregivers collaborate closely to ensure a safe, supportive, and exceptional experience for patients and their families.
In this role, Registered Nurses work directly with patients, families, and visitors, building strong connections while providing education and guidance related to maternal and newborn care. The unit offers a highly collaborative environment where nurses partner with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality obstetrical care and support positive patient outcomes.

A PRN caregiver in this position worksday/evening/night/weekend| 7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement andmonitorpatient care plans.
Monitor,recordand communicate patients’ conditions.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess andcoordinatepatients’ discharge needs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma,ADNor BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) throughAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment
External applicantsmust have two years recent related nursing experience
Internal applicantswith less than two years’ experience but post orientation / 90 dayprobationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval
Successfully pass all prescreen competency assessments
Will consider licensed military RN experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’sof Science in Nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
