In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care and delivering nursing services in a fast-paced medical office environment. You will work under the supervision of the practice providers, providing guidance to Medical Assistants and LPNs when necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both independence and teamwork while delivering compassionate care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and record vital signs accurately.
Interact with patients to prepare them for visits with providers.
Take detailed notes and review medical records for completeness and accuracy.
Communicate clearly with patients, preparing them for physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and screening tests.
Ensure cleanliness and accuracy in preparing equipment and supplies.
Complete diagnostic request forms and schedule patients for tests and appointments with external facilities and specialists.
Execute medical orders for medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
Administer medications and record administrations following pharmacological principles.
Educate patients on preventative health measures.
Provide guidance and leadership to non-clinical staff regarding clinical issues, such as phone triage.
Coordinate patient care and perform nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills in a medical/surgical office environment.
