The Women’s Resource Pool is a great way to share your vast L&D knowledge and experience with all six of our hospital sites as this team floats to Emanuel, Good Samaritan, Mt. Hood, Meridian Park, Salmon Creek, and Silverton Medical Centers. Working within the Women’s Resource Pool provides opportunities to meet more people, have a change each shift, and experience a variety of FBC settings, including both high-risk and LDRPs.

Responsibilities

  • The primary function of this job is to be available and flexible to float to various sites throughout Legacy Health System and provide patient care.
  • Participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of a clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse.
  • The RN Resource Team assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health including those for patient assessment and transfer.
  • This job is paid at a flat rate plus appropriate differentials while working.

Qualifications

Education:

  • As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred.
  • BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Experience:

  • Three years’ registered nursing experience required in the applicable specialty.
    • For the Operating Room Resource Pool A minimum of three years of recent Operating Room experience required.
    • For the Critical Care Resource Pool Three years Critical Care nursing experience required; the three-year requirement may be met for current Legacy employees who have a minimum of two years adult critical care experience plus one-year emergency department, intensive care or pediatric critical care experience. ACLS required.
    • For the Medical Surgical Resource Pool Three years medical surgical and telemetry nursing required. ACLS required.
    • For the IMCU/Med Surg Resource Pool Three years IMCU nursing and telemetry required. ACLS required.
    • For Emergency Dept. Resource Pool Three years Emergency department experience required. PALS and ACLS required. TNCC or ATCN required within 6 months of hire.
    • For the Pediatric Resource Pool Three years’ pediatric nursing experience required (NICU, PICU, Children’s Emergency Department and/or Pediatrics). PALS required. AHA.AAP Advanced NRP required within 6 months of hire.
    • For the Women’s Resource Pool Three years recent labor and delivery experience, including one-year high risk labor & delivery/antepartum experience, strongly preferred; 3 years perinatal experience (with 6 months Neonatal Resuscitation specialist experience) strongly preferred. AHA. APP Advanced NRP required. Legacy Obstetric and Neonatal Emergencies training within 6 months of hire. AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring or Relias Fetal Heart Monitoring required.
    • For the Wound Ostomy Resource Pool Three years enterostomal experience and current Wound, Ostomy Certification by the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB).
    • For the Behavioral Health Resource Pool Three years behavioral health experience. Previous medical/surgical and/or ED experience strongly preferred, i.e. experience with discontinuing IVs, basic dressing changes, lab draws, etc.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Licensure

  • Both Oregon and Washington state RN licensure required.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Pay Range

USD $83.60 - USD $83.60 /Hr.
