RN physician Practice
Provide nursing service and expertise to patients, incorporating the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient’s needs.
Monday - Friday day shift with occasional weekend and holiday rotation.
Pay based on experience starting at $25.08
Responsibilities
Answers phone calls from patients, hospitals, extended care facilities, pharmacies and physician offices and directs the information to the appropriate provider as needed. , Assists the providers by performing patient calls regarding test results and follow-up care as instructed by provider. , Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation. Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data., Coordinates follow up care including scheduling of tests and referrals as ordered by the physician in a timely and accurate manner. , Documents appropriately and concisely assessment, care provided, and data collection in the medical record., Ensures that pre-certification of tests/ consults is obtained., Implements patient care orders in a timely/accurate manner., Maintains clinical skills/demonstrates competency via continuing education as required by the state of Ilinois., Performs and documents laboratory duties which may include phlebotomy, specimen collection and performance of routine basic waived testing., Prepares patients for exams by taking vitals and other assessments necessary prior to providers exam. Assists providers with patient exams/ treatments/ procedures., Submits prescriptions and refills to the pharmacy ordered by the physician in a timely and accurate manner., Teaches patients and family members about the plan of care and documents education. Provides educational handouts.
