Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Day shifts with no weekend or holiday rotation. Hours based on department need. You will work at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

  • Join our world-class interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive life-changing care for kids living with neurological conditions. Diagnoses with Peds Neurosurgery include, but are not limited to hydrocephalus, Spina Bifida, brain tumors, Chiari malformations, epilepsy, stroke, and injuries to the head, nervous system, vascular system, or spine. Our expert team offers the latest treatments for the most complex neurological conditions.
  • Work directly with a highly collaborative team of providers and nurses that foster learning, education, and critical thinking and input from the team is valued.
  • Partner with Pediatric Neurosurgery patients and their families to provide holistic and comprehensive care.
  • Complete triage with a complex patient population, provide education both in-person and over the phone, and assist with procedures that include suture removal, shunt taps and shunt reprogramming.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of school of nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Relevant RN experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • Applicable clinical certification Preferred
