Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time, PRN / On-Call position.

Position Overview

• Job Type: Part-Time / PRN (On-Call)
• Compensation: $49.00 – $54.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Location: Salinas, CA
• Schedule: Flexible shifts; requires open availability for weekdays, weekends, and various shift times.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to residents in a post-acute and rehabilitation setting.
• Assess patient health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide wound care or other specialized treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery and outcomes.
• Supervise and guide Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on shift.
• Respond promptly to on-call requests and fill shift vacancies to ensure safe staffing levels.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• True open availability across the week, including readiness to work days, evenings, nights, weekdays, and weekends.
• Previous experience in post-acute, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing floor assignments and patient needs.
